14 October 2017 — System Downtime
Due to disk failure, cuda.cs will be down for approximately four (4) hours beginning Saturday, 14-October-2017 08:00 EDT.

9 October 2017 — System Downtime
College of Science IT is updating CS GPU servers cuda.cs and mctesla.cs to Ubuntu Linux. This will make them consistent with the instructional lab machines.

1 September 2017 — System Downtime
College of Science IT is updating CS compute node mc17 to Ubuntu Linux. This will make it consistent with the instructional lab machines.

31 August 2017 — System Downtime
College of Science IT is updating CS compute cluster (mc01-mc16) machines to Ubuntu Linux. This will make them consistent with the instructional lab machines.

12-20 August 2017 — System Downtime
College of Science IT is updating CS instructional lab Linux machines to Ubuntu.

College of Science IT is updating data to Ubuntu Linux.

10-11 August 2017 — System Downtime
Solaris 10 systems will be updated to the current patch level. They will be rebooted between 5:00 PM Thursday, August 10 and 8:00 AM on Friday, August 11. Individual machines should only take about 5 minutes to reboot some time during the the time window, but because of server dependencies the effective downtime may be longer.

5 August 2017 — System Downtime
College of Science IT is updating data to Ubuntu Linux.

21 July 2017 — System Downtime
Network connectivity outside LWSN was disrupted at about 13:50 and restored about 14:30.

20-21 June 2017 — System Downtime
Solaris 10 systems will be updated to the current patch level. They will be rebooted between 5:00 PM Tuesday, June 20 and 8:00 AM on Wednesday, June 21. Individual machines should only take about 5 minutes to reboot some time during the the time window, but because of server dependencies the effective downtime may be longer.

7 June 2017 — Unscheduled Downtime
Bors, the DHCP and software package (e.g. matlab) server is down as of about 10PM. It is expected to be back up by midnight.

7 June 2017 — Unscheduled Downtime
Ector, the authentication server for the grad account domain is down. A disk failed during scheduled system updates. It should be back up by about 9PM.

7-8 June 2017 — System Downtime
Solaris 10 systems will be updated to the current patch level. They will be rebooted between 5:00 PM Wednesday, June 7 and 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 8. Individual machines should only take about 5 minutes to reboot some time during the the time window, but because of server dependencies the effective downtime may be longer.
