Computer Science Bridge Program

Bridge 2020 will be offered both on-campus and online.
The on-campus Bridge will be modified for all our participants’ health and safety using Protect Purdue’s guidelines and procedures.

The Purdue Department of Computer Science wants to ensure the success of all students admitted to our majors. With that in mind, we have established the Bridge Program to help students with a high potential for Computer Science and Data Science, but with little or no programming experience.

The Bridge Program introduces students to basic computer science and programming concepts at a comfortable pace in a fun and informal environment. The goal is to help incoming students be successful in the first CS class (CS 18000) by introducing them to the subject matter, the professor, as well as student TA's.

During the two-week program, students live on campus and develop a network of peers (and friendships) vital to their academic success. Registration fees include boarding in the residence halls, all meals, coursework and evening/weekend activities during the two weeks of Bridge.

Bridge 2020 will run from August 2nd - August 14th.

Applications are open from April 1, 2020 and close on July 19, 2020.
