Computer Science Bridge Program

Bridge 2021 is currently being offered ON-CAMPUS by default for all applications.
The on-campus Bridge Program will be modified for all our participants’ health and safety using Protect Purdue’s guidelines and procedures.

An online participation option is available for Bridge 2021 to students who are unable to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines and restriction are in place for Purdue's campus that will directly interfere with their ability to participate in-person for Bridge.

The Department of Computer Science wants to ensure the success of all students admitted to our majors. With that in mind, we have established the Bridge Program to help students with a high potential for Computer Science and Data Science, but with little or no programming experience.

The Bridge Program introduces students to basic computer science and programming concepts at a comfortable pace in a fun and informal environment. The goal is to help incoming students be successful in the first CS class (CS 18000) by introducing them to the subject matter, the professor, as well as student TA's.

During the two-week program, students live on campus and develop a network of peers (and friendships) vital to their academic success. Registration fees include boarding in the residence halls, all meals, coursework and evening/weekend activities during the two weeks of Bridge.

Bridge 2021 will run from Sunday, August 1st - Friday, August 13th.

Applications are open from April 1, 2021 and close on July 18, 2021.
