Computer Science majors are very successful in the employment market, and there is currently great demand for their skills in a variety of industries.
The Department of Computer Science BS graduation survey is based on self-reported information submitted by 335 of our total 458 graduates (73%). All questions were not answered by all respondents.
Of the students reporting employment, 40% received a bonus and/or relocation allowances. For the 2020-2021 graduating class, the average self-reported starting salary for a CS undergrad was $85,199. For 2021 graduates, CS students earned the highest starting salary of all Purdue majors.

West - $1,000 - $84,000
