Scholarships

Entering Freshmen

Entering freshmen admitted for the fall are automatically considered for some University-wide scholarships regardless of the academic program to which they have been admitted. Visit the Purdue Undergraduate Admissions' Costs, Financial Aid, and Scholarships page for more information.

Additionally, Purdue colleges, schools, and academic programs award scholarships to qualified students who are admitted to their programs. Visit the Purdue College of Science Scholarships for Beginning Undergraduate Students page for more information.

Admission to Purdue University College of Science and the completion of the College of Science Merit Scholarship Application is all that is necessary to be considered for our college or departmental merit scholarships.

Continuing Students

To be considered for either Purdue and external (non-Purdue related) scholarships, complete your personal profile on ScholarshipUniverse. This is a new tool that makes finding and applying for both Purdue scholarships and external scholarships easier. The system will let you know of awards/scholarships for which you may be eligible (including Purdue scholarships), and you can apply to them individually. For CS departmental scholarships and any scholarships in the College of Science, you MUST complete a separate application in addition to your profile in Scholarship Universe.

Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accepted from current students majoring in Computer Science/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence at Purdue University with a 3.0 or higher GPA. To be considered for these merit scholarships students must complete the 2024-25 Purdue CS Scholarship Application and submit a current resume.

Scholarships will be awarded at the CS Awards Banquet on April 8, 2024.

Applications will be accepted starting November 6, 2023. Application deadline is January 16, 2024.
