LyondellBassell Scholars Program for 1st year students & Sophomores, Apply by 3/23

On behalf of LyondellBasell (LYB), I’m pleased to share that the application for the 2026-2027 LYB Scholars program is open! Applications will be accepted through March, 23, 2026, and all eligible Purdue University students are encouraged to apply!

LYB Scholars is more than a traditional scholarship. In addition to a $10,000 scholarship, the program gives high-potential students a chance to develop leadership and career readiness skills, while getting their foot in the door for paid internship and co-op opportunities with LYB.

Key eligibility requirements:  

• Must have full-time student status and be a freshman or sophomore at the time of application 

• Must be studying one of the following majors    

• Engineering: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Protection, Environmental 
• Business: Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, Management Information Systems, Computer Science / Computer Engineering  

• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future requirement sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) 

• Must be 18 years of age by Jan. 1, 2027
