Alumna Appointed Science and Tech Advisor

Dr. Chonchanok “Nok” Viravan has been appointed as a Science and Technology advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Dr. Trairong Suwannakiri, who is in charge of Thai Economy. She becomes a member of Deputy Prime Minister's Economic Advisors Team and will be giving her input on how to apply science and technology to help promote Thailand's competitiveness and mitigate problems that impact Thai economy.

Dr. Chonchanok received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1994. Dr. Eugene Spafford was her Advisor. She also received the Outstanding Purdue Alumni Award from the Computer Science Department in 2007.
