Lead a Full-Stack Project for a Local Business - SBEC x Mary Lou Donuts
Hello! My name is Yash, and I'm the vice president of the Purdue Small Business Engineering Club (SBEC), an organization focused on providing low-cost engineering solutions to small businesses in the Greater Lafayette area.
This upcoming semester, we'll be partnering with Mary Lou Donuts to build a full mobile/web ordering platform and inventory management system. The project will involve designing a customer-facing app for online ordering, a backend for inventory tracking and menu updates, and integration with the store's point-of-sale system. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with full-stack development involving frontend design, backend architecture, database management, and third-party API integration while working directly with a local business owner.
We are currently looking for a project lead to head a team of about 10 Purdue undergrads on this project. We are ideally looking for someone with experience with application development and web technologies - and who's excited to contribute to a meaningful real-world challenge for a local small business!
If you are interested or have any questions, please reach out to: sbec@purdue.edu. We look forward to hearing from you!
