Undergraduate Research: Voice Assistant Project w/CS Prof S. Jeong
Hi everyone,
We are hiring an undergraduate student to join a research project building a real-time voice assistant designed to help college students with time management and productivity. The system involves low-latency audio processing, frontend-backend integration, and Azure AI speech technologies.
The project investigates how to integrate real-time conversational AI into a productivity tool, focusing on low-latency system design and effective UI/UX design for adaptive support.
Preferred Skills Include:
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with real-time audio processing (e.g., Web Audio API, MediaRecorder, FFmpeg).
- Experience integrating or deploying LLM APIs (e.g., Azure Speech, GPT models).
- Familiarity with frontend-backend integration and handling asynchronous systems.
- Interest in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), AI/ML, or async system design.
