Professor Elisa Bertino Elected to ISSA Hall of Fame

Professor Elisa Bertino has been elected to the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Hall of Fame. This lifetime achievement award recognizes an individual's exceptional qualities of leadership in their own career and organization, as well as an exemplary commitment to the information security profession. This honor is the association's highest tribute.
“Elisa Bertino’s world-renowned work in data privacy and database security affects a number of different domains throughout society, from medicine to the humanities. Her transformative work has had a major impact on the field of information security,” said Sunil Prabhakar, head of the Department of Computer Science.
ISSA is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. Professor Eugene Spafford is a previous ISSA Hall of Fame inductee.
