Dr. Sonia Fahmy Joins Cyber Center

Dr. Sonia Fahmy has been appointed Scientific Director of Network Systems in the Cyber Center at Purdue's Discovery Park.  Dr. Fahmy is a professor of Computer Science at Purdue, a member of the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS).

Dr. Fahmy joined the Purdue Computer Science Department in 1999, after graduating from Ohio State University. Her research interests lie in the design and evaluation of network architectures and protocols. She is currently investigating network simulation/emulation, Internet measurement, network security, and wireless sensor networks. Fahmy is a member of the ACM and a senior member of the IEEE.
