Purdue CS Bridge Program

The Department of Computer Science wants to ensure the success of all students admitted to all of our majors. With that in mind, we have established the Bridge Program to help students with a high potential for our coursework, but with little or no programming experience.

The Bridge Program introduces students to basic computer science and programming concepts at a comfortable pace in a fun and informal environment. The goal is to help incoming students be successful in the first CS class (CS 18000) by introducing them to the subject matter, the professor, as well as student TA's, without the pressure of worrying about a grade. There are no grades in the Bridge Program!

During the two-week program, students live on campus and develop a network of peers (and friendships) vital to their academic success. Registration fees include boarding in the residence halls, all meals, coursework and evening/weekend activities during the two weeks of Bridge.

Applications are now open for Bridge 2024!  Applications may close early if the Bridge class becomes full.  Students should apply as soon as possible.

The program will run from Sunday, July 28, 2024 to Friday, August 9, 2024.
