Randy is a graduate of the department from 1984. He spent 13 years working as a software engineer writing embedded code in the medical device industry and for an electricity meter manufacturer where he has three patents for applications in metering. He first came to work for the CS department in 1997 as the Computing Facilities Manager and held that position for five years. From 2002-2015 Randy served as the Managing Director of CERIAS, Purdue's interdisciplinary research and education center for information security.
Randy returned to the CS Department in April of 2015 to become the Assistant Department Head.
