Brian Dale Olsen

Graduate Student

Joined department: 2014

Education

BS, Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, Computer Science (2014)

Brian started his Master's at Purdue University immediately following his Bachelor's at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. His primary interests focus on algorithms that support emerging technologies in database systems. He is also interested in distributed and parallel systems. He was drawn to Computer Science during his six years in the Marine Corps. Within that time his job was to maintain data communications through networking systems for a battalion during field operations and back at headquarters. This experience exposed Brian to many practical applications for computing systems.
