Location and Destination
Info The conference will take place on the main campus of the University of the Western Cape. The campus is situated in Bellville, a town east of Cape Town. Cape Town is the parliamentary capital
of South Africa and is situated in Western Cape province. Credit Cards. Shops, hotels and restaurants accept all major
credit cards. You are likely to have Banking. The South African
banking system is reliable and advanced. Banking hours are 09h00 - Travelers Cheques. Banks and Bureaux de Change
cash travelers cheques. Hotels exchange Currency. South Africa has a decimal currency
system: 100 cents = R1.00 (One Rand). Coin Duty Free
Allowances Electricity. The electricity supply is 220/230 volts AC at 50
Hertz. You will need a transformer Language. South Africa has eleven official languages, but you
are certain to have no trouble Trading
Hours. Shops are normally open from 08h30 - 17h00, Monday to Friday,
and 08h30 - Time. South Africa is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Climate. January is summer in Cape Town.
