REGISTRATION, TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMODATION INFORMATION
NOTE: Conference registration, suggested hotel reservations in Athens and hotels in Metsovo, as well as leased bus reservations from Athens to Metsovo will be made using the REGISTRATION, TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMODATION FORM. Reservations for other hotels in Athens, as well as other means of transportation will be made individually.
(GDR stands for “Greek DRahma”. The approximate exchange rate is 1$=290GDRs)

The registration fee for workshop participants includes conferences proceedings, coffee breaks, welcome reception (Sunday), three lunches, one banquet dinner (Monday) and a day trip to Zagori villages (Thursday). The registration fee for accompanying persons includes all the above with the exception of conference proceedings. Children are exempted from the registration fee.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received after June 1st, are charged 50% of the fee. Cancellations received after June 15th are charged 100% of the fee.a) Preferred Method: Athens to Metsovo by leased bus. The bus will leave Athens at 9:00 am on Sunday June 27, from:
Hilton Hotel, Vasilisis Sofias 46, TT 115 28.
The hotels in Athens suggested below are all close to Hilton Hotel.
The round-trip price for a bus is 8,000 GDRs. There will be a stop at the site of Meteora with its famous monasteries built on top of steep huge rock formations, as well as a stop for lunch.
b) Athens to Ioannina by airplane: There are daily flights from Athens to Ioannina. The current round-trip price is 37,000 GDRs with a 10% fare increase expected for next year.
c) Thessaloniki to Ioannina by airplane: There are daily flights form Thessaloniki to Ioannina. The current round-trip price is 24,400 GDRs with a 10% fare increase expected for next year.
d) Ioannina to Metsovo: By taxi: It costs about 10,000 GDRs per taxi one way. By shuttle bus. Depending on the number of people, the shuttle bus ranges from 2,000 to 6,000 GDRs one way. Those flying to/from Ioannina are asked to provide their flight number and arrival/departure date on the registration form in order to arrange for the shuttle buses, if possible.
e) By rental car: Cars can be rented from Athens and Thessaloniki, either from downtown or from the airports.

a)Please make your reservations as soon as possible in order to guarantee hotel availability in Athens.
b)All hotel prices include breakfast. All prices are in GDRs.
c) Extra beds are charged 20% of the double room price.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 5 to 7 days before the reservation date will be charged 20% of a day’s fee. Cancellations made 4 days before the reservation date will be chared 50% of a day’s fee. Non-show will be charged 100% of a day’s fee.
b) Metsovo: Participants will be placed at various hotels in the village. Room assignment will be made on a first-come first-served basis.
Single Room: 15,000, Double room: 19,500, Extra Bed: 23,400. Breakfast included.
Cancellation Policy: Reservations must arrive before 05/25/99 to guarantee room availability. Cancellations after 05/24/99 will be charged one day’s fee.
