Bio: Natasha Devroye has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago since January 2009. From July 2007 until July 2008 she was a Lecturer at Harvard University. Natasha obtained her Ph.D in Engineering Sciences from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University in 2007, an M.Sc from Harvard University in 2003 and a Honors B. Eng in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in 2001. She has worked as a research intern at Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, CA as well as Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, in Cambridge, MA. Her interests include multi-user information theory, wireless communications, and scheduling. She in particularly focused on information theoretic limits of cognitive and cooperative communications.
