Homework Rules

You may discuss homework problems in general terms with your classmates. However, you must write all program code on your own. Do not look at classmates’ programs; do not allow them to look at yours.

If two programs are judged the same, both will receive no credit.  Repeated offenses will result in failing the course.

See the TA or instructor if you have problems with your program.

Computing Accounts

Your computer accounts (UNIX, PC, and WebCT) are for your personal use only and only for use in this course.

Do not give out your password or otherwise allow others to use your accounts (e.g., via .rhosts).  You will use your WebCT account to turn in your assignments, claim corrected assignments, and examine your grades.

Grading Plans

These grading plans are tentative and subject to change.

There will be...

three, equal-weight exams; two during the semester, plus the final;
six-ten small programming assignments; and
several problem sets and quizzes.

Your grade will be based on approximately 60% exams, 30% programs, and 10% problem sets and quizzes.
