Before joining Purdue, I served on multiple committees and worked for DPNA on multiple projects. I mention a few here
Active CitizensFacilitated multiple Active Citizens workshops in Lebanon and one in Morocco. Participated in the global exchange program in the UK in March 2011. Training material we used in workshops can be found here. More on the project can be found here.
Entrance to EntrepreneurshipActed on the steering committee for the program alumni and participated in multiple workshops specifically related to web development. Helped organize Saida Startup Weekend and acted as a technical mentor (I was also interviewed on TV about the event). More on the project can be found here.
Content and Social media editorWorked on three major websites for DPNA and DPNA's partners. I also managed DPNA's Facebook page. Websites I worked on while at DPNA:
- University Student Faculty Committee at AUB. Acted as a secretary for a half term. The minutes I prepared are archived here.
- Lebanese Scout Association (LSA). I served LSA for more than 10 years, the highest position I achieved was a district commissioner for guides and scouts.
- MEPI student leader. Selected among 90 students from the Middle East and North Africa to participate in a 2 months school focusing on leadership training. The program was fully funded by the U.S. Department of State. Here is an article about the closing event in D.C.
