CS 290W -- Advanced Website Design and Implementation. Instructor: Prof. H.E. Dunsmore. Class 3, cr. 3. Prerequisite: CS 190W.

CS 290W is intended for people who have taken 190W (or who have learned the equivalent on their own) and who want to learn more advanced techniques. The course will cover a full set of HyperText Markup Language (HTML) tags, JavaScript and Java applets, Perl applications, and CGI-bin. Students will create JavaScript and Java applets and Perl applications.

The class meets 2 times per week. There will be no formal lab, but there will be 8 projects that will require spending some time in the lab. There will be 2 exams.

In order to help with the assignments, and general questions, the TAs will hold help sessions on Tuesday evenings.
