• How do I print on a *nix machine?
  
  In general:

  lpr -P <printer name> <filename>

• How can I transfer files to and from Lore?
  
  You should not need to transfer files, if you are using Eclipse to checkout and submit projects.
  However, here is what you need to do, if you would like to make some manual copies:
  
  I am using Windows at home:

  You should use a program called WinSCP. You can download it here: http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

  I am using *nix at home:

  There will most likely be an scp package installed on your machine (if not refer to the manual of whatever ditribution you're using to install scp). In order to copy a file to lore you need to type:

  scp <filename> <login>@lore.cs.purdue.edu:<path/filename>

• How can I obtain a CS Account?
  
  Every CS 180 student should go to the Computer Science Resource Portal prior to attending the first lab. On that page a student will use his/her Purdue Career Account (ITaP) login and password to obtain his/her CS Department Computer Account. Anyone who has not previously read and "signed" the CS Department Academic Integrity Policy form will be stepped through that first before being presented his/her CS Department Computer Account.
