Scores are reported on Blackboard.

Based on class performance, each student will receive an appropriate letter grade. The following components will be used in determining your final grade.

Your grade in the course will be determined based on your performance as measured by the following factors:

• 40% Programming assignments
  • Projects 1-2: 5% each
  • Projects 3-4: 7% each
  • Projects 5-6: 8% each
• 15% Lab Assignments (equally weighted, with the lowest score dropped.)
• 2% in-class quizzes (iClicker and recitation, lowest score from each dropped)
• 40% Exams
  • Exam 1: 10%
  • Exam 2: 11%
  • Final: 22%

The final grading will be relative, not absolute. Basically, the goal is to ensure that the grade is based on demonstrated knowledge, rather than any fixed scale or fixed curve.
