Professor Clifton's Policy on Commercial Note Taking

I encourage dissemination of knowledge. To better achieve this goal, and in line with the Purdue University Senate's policy on Commercial Note Taking in Classes, I will allow for-profit sale of notes taken in my classes provided that:

Note that this only applies to material YOU CREATE. Material that I provide (especially that accessible only within the Purdue domain, such as course slides) may be copyrighted by myself or others, and should not be reposted, sold, or redistributed.

While I do retain the right to disapprove sale, my intention is to use that right only to correct errors. I am happy to see knowledge shared, and if you put in the effort to generate a saleable set of notes, I am happy to see you profit from doing so provided the above conditions are met.

Associate Professor of Computer Sciences
