This course covers the following six topics. You please choose 1 or 2 topics (except General and MISC) as your course focus. Please pick papers out of all the five topics (except General) for your in-class presentation. If you would like to present and discuss the papers out of the list, please contact the instructor in advance.
Topic-0: General This is to cover some basic or general knowledge related to this course.
Topic-1: 5G experience; This topic is to understand, measure and analyze how 5G works today.
Topic-2: 5G design and implementation; This topic is to provide new design and implementation to 5G networks, covering from communication to networking, from antenna to core networks over a data center, Re-architecture, L1/L2 procedure and algorithms, etc.
Topic-3: 5G Security This topic is to learn attacks, defenses and security analysis for 5G and beyond.
Topic-4: Killer 5G6G applications This topic is to cover efforts to make killer 5G6G applications, beyond traditional 4G/5G communication and networking techniques. Killer apps: mixed reality, autonomous driving, anytime video surveillance.
Topic-5: MISC This is to cover other papers which are not listed into the above topics.
