What is Hallway Testing and when do you use it?
Submit this quiz on paper or via email to dunsmore@purdue.edu (Subject: Quiz 10) by the end of class today.
Users chosen for software testing are selected at random from people
passing by in the hallway. (Of course, this is just a fun way of
saying that anybody could be used for testing.)
We use this for general software -- software not targeted for specific
end-users.
My all-time favorite War of 1812 answer for "when do you use it?": "You use Hallway Testing for software that will be used in the hallway."
Special note to some of you (and you know who you are!): Before copying someone else's quiz nearly word-for-word, make sure that he or she has some idea what the answer is....
