          Our research group is interested in the research of Prof.
     Bharat Bhargava of Purdue University. The IBM Shared University
     Research Program will be a great arrangement for further collaboration.

          His work on Adaptable Communication Software for Differentiated
     Quality of  Service has applications in electronic commerce and
     transmission of multi-media documents/forms. The development of
     efficient and reliable communication infrastructure is of great 
     importance in this application.

          Prof. Bhargava has received a best paper award on his research in
     adpatable distributed systems and has currently two funded projects
     from National Science Foundation on this subject.

          I have followed the research of Prof. Bhargava for over a decade.
     He has an estiblished laboratory with many software tools for conducting
     experiments on the communication software over the Internet. 
     Prof. Bhargava and his students have written a series of papers on 
     e-commerce and communication software development.
