iCRiST is an Industry-University Collaborative Center for Research in Software Technologies. Its objective is to promote applied research in all areas of computer software, including and not limited to, software process, testing and maintenance, reliability, middleware, databases, design, performance, embedded systems, and special purpose software systems found in the automobile, chemical, aerospace, defense and other industries.
India is now recognized all over the world as a power to reckon with in the provision of low-cost and reliable software services.
It is our sincere hope that iCRiST will serve to propel India as a hub of advanced applied research in software technology where new ideas are generated, experimented with, and applied in all aspects of software production.

iCRiST will be the first research center of its kind in India. It is composed of two types of affiliates: university affiliates and industrial affiliates. Any university registered within India is a potential member of iCRiST. Any company registered in India and interested in sponsoring research and obtaining long and short term benefits of the membership is a potential industrial member. |
All research conducted within iCRiST domain is funded by industrial affiliates. A thin and lean administration manages the day-to-day operations of iCRiST. Faculty and students from member universities conduct research. One or more industrial affiliates sponsor a research project. All research has deliverables and schedules set cooperatively by the faculty investigator and the sponsoring affiliate. |
iCRiSTis currently in the process of being established. Prospective academic and industrial affiliates participated in a 1-day brainstorming session at BITS, Pilani, India, on November 15, 2003.
Please contact Aditya Mathur if you are interested in participating in iCRiST in any way,
