iCRiST is headed by a Center Coordinator who is a professor in one of the academic members of the center. The Coordinator is responsible for all tasks related to center administration including, though not limited to, the organization of bi-annual meetings of the center affiliates, recruiting academic and industrial affiliates, motivating faculty and companies to actively participate in the center's research program, and enabling technology transfer. The Coordinator devotes about 50% of his/her time towards managing the center and the remaining time in other university assigned responsibilities such as teaching, service, and research. |
A full time Assistant Center Coordinator assists the Center Coordinator in all areas of center administration. It is preferred that the Director and the Assistant Director are located in the same university. |
Each academic member (university) appoints a Site Coordinator who coordinates research at his/her site with the Center Coordinator. Depending on the number of researchers from an academic unit who participate in iCRiST, the Site Director might devote from 10-25% of time towards center administration. A key task of the Site Coordinator will be to assist the Center Coordinator in recruiting industrial affiliates. |
