Involve your Family Program

Dear students of CS 178:

While you learn the intricacies of Java programming in CS 178, you could have some family fun too! Here are at least two ways.....

• Develop an applet that sings "Happy Birthday" to your Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa or whomever you like to send greetings. Record your own version of, for example, "Happy Birthday" using a PC/Mac, a Microphone and any .wav file generation software. Link this applet to your web site and invite your favorite person to click on the applet.

• Develop an applet that shows recent pictures of yourself taken on the Purdue campus. Send a link to this applet to your family members. I bet they would love to see you through your very own applet.
