CS 407 SOFTWARE ENGINEERING II
SPRING 1998
-
This is a sequel to CS 406 Software Engineering I.
It allows you to continue and complete the project initiated in CS 406.
You actually see the flower
from the tree that you
planted in CS 406.
-
The entire class works as two teams, one for each
project. Each Monday will be an in-class progress review. Each Wednesday
will be a video conference with Tellabs or Intel. Each Friday we will cover
exciting lecture material in Software Engineering. Project Planning, Software
Reliability, Design Patterns, Distributed Computing (e.g. CORBA), and a
few other latest hot topics in Software Engineering will be covered
during lectures.
-
The amount of work required of a student in CS 407
is about the same as in CS 406. However, CS 407 is a fun class! It is a
great opportunity for each student to interact, in-class, with the
instructor and the other members of the class. About 70% of your
grade depends on the work you do for the project.
Everyone who has
done CS 407 in the past has enjoyed it thoroughly and I see no reason why
you will not enjoy!
