Pre-midterm: Chapters 1 through 19.
Post-midterm: Chapters 21, 22, and 29.

Schach:

Pre-midetrm: Chapters 1, 2, 3

Post-midterm: Chapter 4:  Only 4.12, 4.13. 4.14, and 4.15 and the slides on Config Management accessible via the 406 home page.
                      Chapter  13: only 13.6 and 13.7 and whatever is covered during lectures (see slides accessible via the 406 homepage)
 
 

This will be a comprehensive exam. However, questions related to post-midterm topics will weigh significantly more than those related to the pre-midterm topics.
