What is Akriti Choir?

The Akriti Choir is a group of individuals whose prime objective is to sing beautiful music for peace and happiness. The individuals include students and faculty from Purdue University and people living in the greater Lafayette area.

The Akriti Choir was formed by a group of like minded individuals on a rare sunny morning in January 2002 at the home of Jyoti and Aditya Mathur located in West Lafayette.

"Akriti" is the name of a program of Indian classical music organized about once a month by the Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue.

The Akriti Choir is an integral branch of the Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue (ICMAP).
