Instructions for international CS Graduate students

  • Select How to Apply for CPT and follow the directions.
    • In Step 3: Departmental approval is granted by William J. Gorman (LWSN 1198, wjg@purdue.edu).
    • In Step 5:
      • CS graduate students may use CS 69800 if they have an approved thesis-option MS plan of study and the major professor expects the proposed CPT work to contribute to the thesis.
      • CS graduate students may use CS 69900 if they are in the PhD program and if the major professor expects the proposed CPT work to contribute to the dissertation.
      • CS graduate students that do not use CS 69800 or CS 69900 must arrange with a CS faculty member a one-credit CS 59000 individual study course that includes the CPT work. Further instructions are provided on the Application for Curricular Practical Training Based on a CS 59000.
