Position Description
Job Title: Intern – IT/Cyber Security
Reports to: Vice President – Investments & Operations
Location: 13300 Olio Road, Fishers, IN 46037
Duration: Monday, June 2 – Friday, August 8, 2025
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM EST (excluding holidays)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
General Description
The IT/Cyber Security Intern will support the Director of IT on relevant and challenging projects. The
intern will gain insight into enterprise-wide IT projects and initiatives and support each Wesleyan
Investment Foundation, Inc. (WIF) department. He/she will be able to apply principles learned from
college coursework, help with pressing projects in a timely manner and ensure optimal running of
all IT systems. Interns will also use observations, research, and experiences to deliver a
comprehensive presentation to appropriate stakeholders.
WIF interns are known for their discernment, professional communication, and effective
collaboration with team members of varying skill sets. He/she is a coachable, inquisitive, creativeminded
leader. Meticulous attention to detail and a knack for understanding, evaluating, and
improving processes are key strengths. He/she represents the organization well both internally and
externally and embraces change, champions organizational values, and adapts smoothly to new
circumstances.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Learn and develop a basic understanding of WIF’s business model, church loan customers,
and investors.
• Learn how Jack Henry’s banking products serve WIF and communicate with them as
needed.
• Understand the operation of Banno, WIF’s client-facing online access account platform.
• Apply the foundational skills required for office work including time management,
prioritization, self-direction, relationship building, and professional communication.
• Work on individual project(s) that bring value to WIF.
• Apply findings and research to projects assisting the Director of IT.
• Install new software and hardware drivers and update existing ones as needed.
• Resolve IT support requests from employees.
• Log all service requests and update tickets as needed.
• Manage technical documentation and update IT Knowledgebase.

• Provide recommendations on process improvements based on observations and analysis.
• Shadow Director of IT:
• Attend meetings with WIF Team members as well as third party resources (e.g., Jack
Henry, Wells Fargo, Servant.io).
• Engage in day-to-day operations.
• Develop a group project and collaborate with other interns to highlight insights and
experiences.
• Meet with mentor consistently to develop practical and soft skills
• Review the most recent Offering Circular to understand WIF’s investment offering and
business operations.
• Complete investment application process and provide a user experience feedback report.
• Take the Leading from Your Strengths assessment to identify and leverage strengths.
Experience Requirements
• Complete at least three months of experience in an IT related role.
• Have completed coursework in one or more of the following disciplines, including but not
limited to, computer science, cybersecurity, or management information systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Desktop Environment, Microsoft Office 365 Cloud
Environment, and Microsoft Windows Server Environment.
• Exhibit excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Demonstrate a coachable spirit with a strong aptitude for learning.
• Be adaptable and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks
as needed.
• Exhibit effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF) is excited to be offering college students the opportunity to
intern at our headquarters in Fishers, Indiana. Ideal candidates for this program are next generation
leaders who have a heart for the local church and desire to use their gifts, skills, and abilities in the
financial services industry. Each intern will gain exposure to all business departments across the
enterprise and be compensated at a full-time rate. Throughout the program, interns will engage in team
meetings, educational sessions, market research projects, and job shadowing. All of this will be
considered within the context of our novel commercial lending business model.
WIF is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) church extension fund founded in 1946 by individuals who understood
the dynamics of church financing. Our primary purpose is providing loan assistance to churches and
church-related entities so they can expand their facilities, purchase land, build, renovate or refinance
current debt. We are able to provide these loans with the funds that are invested by individuals and
organizations who value a faith-based investment opportunity.

Dates:
Interns will work full time between June 2 and August 8.
