Summer Internship - Data Science and Software Development
OVERVIEW
KERAMIDA Inc. is an environmental and sustainability firm headquartered in Indianapolis (https://www.keramida.com/). We are proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce, sharpening their skills through:
• Cross-departmental engagement in a variety of different projects.
• Collaboration with engineers and environmental professionals.
• Exposure to a diverse set of clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Assist in the development of proprietary software to manage environmental data sets. The software should be capable of collecting, storing and transforming data as well as tracking related tasks using a dashboard and automated email notifications. The feasibility of integrating this new software into KERAMIDA’s existing client portal should be evaluated during the design process.
• Further develop KERAMIDA’s data handling, analysis and representation practices including creating custom visualizations, assembling analysis toolkits, writing formal procedures, and identifying new software.
• Assess the feasibility of developing an app for Apple and Android devices that allows users to access KERAMIDA’s existing web-based compliance and task management platform.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Communicates work progress clearly in a team setting.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Potential for remote work.
