Programming Internship at Indy Audio Labs

Position overview: Programmer for a consumer audio electronics manufacturing company. 

Indy Audio Labs, owner of the high-performance audio brands Acurus and Aragon, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Programming Intern. This opportunity requires the ability to be flexible, ability to think on one’s feet, and enjoy extreme tech problem-solving. Must thrive in situations where plans and focus can change daily and be able to endure the challenging ebb and flow of a fast-paced product development environment.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, clearly communicate solutions, and manage project tasks. Candidates must also possess quality coding skills and be willing to perform/develop/manage software development activities. Experience or interest in audio electronics is a plus. Current residence in or near the Indianapolis area is required.

Job description:

  • Create detailed code maps/block diagrams of existing C++/Arduino based product firmware
  • Identify and execute necessary code changes for current product development project requirements
  • Work with systems engineer to use existing software platforms to create new audio product variants
  • Investigate requirements to update current webapp control features in our products.
  • Position is a project-based summer internship with possibility of future projects based on performance

 

Qualifications: Suitable candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Senior year undergrad or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ and Arduino IDE absolutely necessary
  • Experience with multi-level system architecture preferred
  • Experience with creating code maps/block diagrams
  • Experience with hardware architecture and its relation to software architecture
  • Experience with webapp development or native OS app development
  • Good technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn about our products, custom PCBs, and related technologies
  • High organization skills required with strong follow-through habits
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attitude is critical to success; must be a self-starter, resourceful, highly dependable
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • US citizen
