CS Faculty Seeking Undergrad for Web Development, Visualization, & Analytics in WHIN Proj

Undergraduate Student for Web Development, Visualization, and Analytics in WHIN Project

We are seeking an undergraduate student to work on the Wabash Heartland Innovation Network (WHIN) Project for web development, visualization, and data analytics. This $40M project, started in late 2017, is developing IoT testbeds that can be used by researchers and practitioners. There are two forms of networks, one for digital agriculture and the other for advanced manufacturing. The data is already being generated by sensors deployed in farms and on manufacturing equipment at commercial plants in the local area. They are being analyzed by algorithms to generate actionable intelligence in real-time.

The job of the student will be to integrate the data from multiple deployed sensors and visualize on a web page.
The data needs to be updated in real time and historic data should be query-able by a user using a web form. The student will also write some analytics scripts for the collected data.
The student will work with a team of ECE (Profs. Saurabh Bagchi, Ali Shakouri) and CS faculty (Prof. Bruno
Ribeiro), ECE graduate students and post-docs. The student will report to Dr. Charilaos Mousoulis, Senior
Research Scientist in ECE.
