Purdue Extension Database/Developer Student Worker Position

At Purdue Extension (County Extension Services), we are currently looking for a student worker to take on small, beginner database management and development projects that would utilize JavaScript and jQuery. 

Below are the responsibilities that help to outline what we’re looking.

Student workers responsibilities:

• Creates/manages databases in current solutions
 Salesforce
 Cvent
 ED Store
• Creates training materials (documentation, video, in-line help, etc.)
o Examples include, “Running Reports in Salesforce” and “How to Search in the Intranet”
• Specific development projects with timelines/estimated date of completion (EDC)
o Automate job openings on Extension website to feed from Taleo (or new system)
o Javascript/jQuery innovations for intranet and website (ex. Annual Report interactive infographic, image/content slider, dynamic content, etc.)
o New workflows in SharePoint (internal and external) and Salesforce
o New buttons and actions in Salesforce
o Integrating new applications in our various systems
• Help create new content (articles, pages, etc.) for Extension website
• Provides backup support for AgIT/user tickets
• Tests new programs and systems
• Assists in set up for events/meetings
