BATS is seeking an energetic, talented, entrepreneurial attitude Software Engineer to join our team in

Job Description:
A Software Engineer that supports all aspects of software design, ranging from preliminary concept to
tested and documented code.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on and lead various projects related to cutting
edge developments in Terrestrial Broadband Communications. BATS is not your ordinary desk job or
culture. At BATS you will get the opportunity to participate in field testing and trials, with occasional
overnight travel.
● Critical thinker, problem solver, self-motivated, and a quick learner (You will be expected to learn
new technologies outside your comfort zone)
● Recognize and adapt to frequent changes in priority and directions as business needs change
● Write quality well-documented source code and corresponding unit tests
● Design and implement solutions to problems
● Ability to interpret large amounts of foreign code (i.e. internal or open source)
Required Experience:
● Demonstrated experience taking a project from start-to-finish
● Experienced with C or C++, Go, Javascript/Node.js
● Comfortable with Linux environment and the command line
Preferred Experience
● Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration
● Version control experience (git preferred)
● Familiar with various web data types (JSON, XML, or related)
● Rust, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages
● Wireless networking and Docker experience a plus
● Knowledge of progressive web frameworks such as Vue.js or React
Required Education:
● B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical (and Computer) Engineering
