Computational Physics Traineeship Program at NIU
I'm a faculty member in physics down the road at NIU, and I'm writing to point you to our new DOE-sponsored joint NIU-UIC traineeship in computational high-energy physics (C2-THE-P2):

The program is designed to fund and to train physics and CS students on computational tools and research needed in my field of particle physics. Interested CS students would apply to UIC and learn lots of cool things en route to a terminal MS or to a MS before getting a PhD (they'll automatically be accepted for the PhD with acceptance to the programs, if they want). There are lots of great people at Fermilab and Argonne to work with, and we have some fun things planned in Chicagoland for the program.
