Declared CS Minors, MACS Majors and IMCS Majors - access to CS courses

For declared CS minors, MACS and IMCS majors, and STAT-CS MS grad students, access will be given if space is available and will be limited to student's 5 required CS courses.

CS 18000:

Space will be available for non-CS majors during off-peak semesters (spring & summer). Not open to students with credit in CS 24000. 

CS 18200, CS 24000 and CS 25200:

Declared CS minors, MACS majors and IMCS majors will be given access during time ticket registration during off-peak semesters (fall & summer). Non-CS students should not submit a request for peak semester (spring). CS minors are not likely to be given access during spring. 

CS 25000 and CS 25100:

Declared CS minors, MACS majors and IMCS majors will be given access during time ticket registration during off-peak semesters (spring & summer). Non-CS students should not submit a request for peak semester (fall). CS minors are not likely to be given access during fall. 

CS 30000 – CS 49000:

Declared CS minors, MACS major or IMCS major, you will be granted access the Friday before classes begin if space is available.

All students should use Scheduling Assistant to register for classes.  If overrides are needed, Scheduling Assistant will allow you to request them.  Add/Drop classes option does not support override requests.

CS Graduate Courses

Declared MACS majors interested in 500 level courses may request a level override. You will be granted access the Friday before classes begin if space is available.

Declared CS-STAT MS students with fewer than 5 CS courses completed may submit an override request for needed graduate courses. These will be reviewed during open registration.
