If you're planning a trip to the Center, check out the Greater Lafayette Convention and Visitor Bureau. This is an excellent site and has most of the information you will need about the surrounding area from housing and food to the weather forecast for the upcoming week.One more site which may interest you is a local area net guide. This site is maintained by the local newspaper, the Lafayette Journal and Courier. It is similar to the Greater Lafayette Convention and Visitor Bureau, but has more information about the community itself like schools, libraries, the arts, and recreation.
If you plan on flying, the Purdue University airport flight schedule gives arrival and departure times and information about connecting flights. You may have more convenient flight times if you fly into the Indianapolis International Airport. There is now a shuttle service provided by Lafayette Limo between the Indianapolis airport and campus. Lafayette Limo does not have a home page, but you may contact them by phone at (756) 497-3828 or by fax at (765) 796-4106. Prices are $31.00 round trip, $18.00 one way. Reservations are recommended. Lafayette Limo leaves the Indianapolis airport every two hours beginning at 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. and arrives at the Purdue Union Club 90 minutes later. For your return flight from Indianapolis, Lafayette Limo departs from the Purdue Union every two hours beginning at 4:55 a.m. until 8:55 p.m.
On the other hand, you prefer to drive, a map with directions to Purdue will help you plan your trip. Upon arriving, please stop at the Visitor Information Center for parking information. They are located on Northwestern Avenue and clearly labeled Visitors Center on the campus map.
