Current ProjectsScalable router primitives for passive and active measurementWe are investigating scalable router primitives for measuring traffic characteristics within routers. We envision that these primitives will be extremely simple and cheap for router vendors to implement in their routers, while providing with powerful tools for ISP network operators to diagnose and fix performance problems in their networks.dFault: Scalable fault localization in p2p systemsP2P applications are fairly complicated to manage. Today, there are no automated systems that can diagnose the exact location of faults in these systems. The goal of this project is to devise mechanisms that assist in rapid fault localization so that appropriate repair actions can be performed. The main technique for fault localization is spatial correlation of temporally correlated events with the help of simple inference algorithms over dependency graphs.Characterization and monitoring of
Modern Web Traffic
Emerging types of Internet applications do not fit the mold of
traditional network applications. For example, Web traffic today
comprises of several types of applications, particularly those that use
rich interactive technologies such as AJAX. Our goal in this project is
to understand the dynamics of such applications and characterize their
network behavior. |
