Bioseparation

Bioseparation is the process of separating components by passing a solution mixture through an absorbent column so that each component absorbs to the surface differently, and thus eludes at different times. This process is used for purification of proteins, chemicals and bio-chemicals used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical and food products, for the purification of water, and for other bio-chemical processes. To optimize output from this process, it is important to know precisely when and at what concentration a particular product can be found.
