Jayaram is a PhD student in Computer Science at Purdue University. His advisor is Prof. Patrick Eugster. His research is on programming languages, algorithms and middleware for distibuted event-based systems (DEBS). Specifically, he has been focussing on (1) programming language extensions for event correlation (2) the interplay between programming languages and middleware for DEBS -- how programming languages and static analysis can be used to increase the performance and scalability of event-processing middleware, and (3) novel routing algorithms for parametric DEBS, where subscriptions are parametrized by program variables.
