Dr. Alan Qi has a dual appointment in Computer Science and Statistics. His main research interests include Bayesian machine learning and computational biology. Dr. Qi received his PhD in Media Laboratory from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He received an MS from the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his BS from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Qi has taught at the ACM International Conference on Multimedia, Campus IT Summer School in Spain, and at MIT. He also performed research at MIT, the University College London, and University of Maryland, College Park, and in industry at Microsoft Research.
