Amit Shirsat is currently a (Spring 2007) Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Sciences at Purdue. As a Graduate Assistant for Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC), he works on the algorithmic and design enhancement aspects for a parallel eigen-value solver code. His research interests are primarily focused on applied aspects of probability theory and graph theory. In his thesis work, he has designed localized geometric algorithms for a suite of self-configuring topology problems in ad-hoc wireless networks.
