From 6:00--6:55pm is a totally self-contained miniconference on Mathematica and webMathematica:

• "Mathematica Overview", Mark Senn, Engineering Computer Network
  • presented using Mathematica's SlideShow and Notebook environments
  • compares Maple, Mathematica, and MATLAB languages
  • shows how to do symbolic mathematics, numeric mathematics, and graphics (including ``movies')
• "Mathematica at other Universities", Kelvin Mischo, Academic Account Executive, Wolfram Research.
• "Mathematica at Purdue" (tentative title), Dan Hartley, ITaP Contracts and Licensing Group.
• "webMathematica Overview", Brendan Elli, Developer of Web Products and webMathematica Product Manager, Wolfram Research.

From 7:00--8:00pm is a more in-depth talk on webMathematica:

• "webMathematica: A how-to guide for publishing interactive papers, and deploying calculators, algorithms, and problem solvers over the web". In this session, Brendan Elli, Developer of Web Products at Wolfram Research, Inc. and Product Manager of webMathematica, will introduce this technology and present an in-depth tutorial with live demonstrations of the technology.
