The first event is an all-School of Science picnic on Friday, May 16, 2003, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in our tent on the Memorial Mall. This event will be relaxed and informal; however, we will have a short program to honor outstanding students and faculty beginning at 12:00 noon. Come join us for barbecue, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and sodas. (If you plan to attend, please send email to David Lageveen with the number of people in your group.)

The second event will take place immediately following the 9:30 a.m. commencement ceremony on Saturday morning, May 17--a reception in the atrium of the Materials and Electrical Engineering (MSEE) Building (located between Hovde Hall and the Northwestern Street Parking Garage).

Members of the School of Science faculty, advising staff, and Alumni Board look forward to greeting you and your family at these events and extending our best wishes for the future.
