National Computer Science Education Week |
December 6-12, 2009 is the inaugural National Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek). The U.S. House of Representatives designated this week to raise awareness of computer science as a distinct discipline. It is meant to acknowledge the transformative role of computing in our nation and bolster computer science at all education levels. The Association for Computer Machinery (ACM) leads this effort along with the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT), and the Computing Research Association (CRA); with the strong support of Google, Intel, and Microsoft. Celebrate CSEdWeek by sharing your insights on computer science education on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
