Bue Awarded Space Shuttle Scholarship |
Brian is a first year PhD student, and plans to work for NASA after he finishes his studies. His research interests include computer vision, remote sensing, knowledge-based image processing, and computational science (particularly computational geomorphology and physics). Brian was a teaching assistant for CS240 in 2004-05. In the summer of 2004 Brian held an internship at the NASA Johnson Space Center with the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas. The Lunar and Planetary Institute interns typically work at the institute for one year only, but Brian was asked to return as a visiting graduate student. This summer at the institute, he will work on integrating a hierarchical clustering algorithm and advanced visualization capabilities into their existing martian landform classification application. Please join the CS department in congratulating Brian Bue on his achievements! |
